Anna Cotton’s legal and security background will be essential to the continued development of ClearForce’s insider threat services and the legal framework for compliance
VIENNA, VA. –– JANUARY 3, 2022 –– ClearForce, a global technology leader in the early and ongoing discovery of employee risk, announced today the addition of Anna Cotton to its board of directors.

Anna Cotton is the founder of SLG Solutions and serves on boards for a cybersecurity company and an intelligence-services company. She also advises global manufacturing and technology companies.
Cotton served as the Deputy General Counsel of the National Reconnaissance Office, which procures and launches intelligence satellites for the U.S. Government. She was also Assistant General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency, where she managed complex litigation, including litigation arising from the 2011 raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. During her career, she has led insider-threat initiatives, assisted internal investigations, and conducted security-clearance reviews, among other matters. As a former federal prosecutor, she prosecuted criminal cases and conducted multiple jury and bench trials. Cotton has a JD from the Cardozo School of Law and a BA from Pepperdine University.
She will be joining a board of directors that includes General James L. Jones, USMC, (Ret.) former National Security Advisory and 32nd Commandant of the Marine Corps; General Michael Hayden, USAF, (Ret.) former Director of the CIA and NSA; Dann Adams, former President of Equifax, Harry C. Gambill, former CEO of TransUnion; Norm Willox, former Chief Privacy Officer at LexisNexis, and Thomas L. Blair, former founder/CEO of United Payors and United Providers, Inc.
The board of directors is complemented by ClearForce’s advisory board that includes Steve Milovich, former Human Resources executive for The Walt Disney Company, PepsiCo and Honeywell, General Craig McKinley, USAF (Ret.) former Chief of the National Guard Bureau, Dr. Keita Franklin, former Department of Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense senior executive and principal advisor on suicide prevention, Dr. Kelly Posner, Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University and world-renowned suicide prevention expert who created the Columbia Protocol, and Jody Weis, former FBI Special Agent and Chicago PD Superintendent.
