ClearForce Extends Partnership with Thales Defense & Security, Inc.

Delivering a safer, more secure workplace for Thales Defense & Security, Inc. employees

Vienna, VA. — November 27, 2023 — ClearForce, a global technology leader in the early and ongoing discovery of employee risk, announced that it is renewing its partnership with Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI), a global company catering to defense, federal and commercial markets with innovative solutions for the ground tactical, airborne and avionics, naval/maritime and security domains.

For the past four years, TDSI has actively collaborated with ClearForce to exceed DoD insider threat program requirements while protecting employee privacy and remaining transparent. Through this continued partnership, TDSI is expanding their engagement with ClearForce to identify and mitigate insider risk via continuous monitoring and evaluation. These efforts enhance safety and support for TDSI’s core employees and all US government-cleared subsidiary employees, including Tampa Microwave, Thales Trusted Cyber Technologies, and Advanced Acoustic Concepts.

“By extending this partnership with Thales Defense & Security, Inc., the company can continue focusing on its critical security work serving the public and private sectors and rest assured ClearForce’s risk identification technologies will deliver a safer, more secure workplace for employees,” said Tom Miller, CEO of ClearForce.

Using criminal, financial, social media and internal incident data, ClearForce’s real-time automated push alerts automatically identify behavioral patterns to enhance TDSI’s workforce security and protection. This creates a safer and more productive workplace for their employees by allowing TDSI to stay ahead of reporting threats to the US government, enabling employees to stay on contract and ensuring that all staff are following clearance guidelines and the obligation to self-report certain activities.

“TDSI management’s decision to leverage ClearForce automated monitoring and reporting of public records has been a vital program enhancement positioning TDSI on the leading edge of the Defense Industry’s efforts to demonstrate not just baseline, but mature and effective Insider Threat Programs. This continued partnership will empower TDSI to proactively preserve a safe and secure workplace environment, help someone who may need help, and truly care for our employees as assets of the company,” said Curtis Chappell, Vice President of Corporate Security at TDSI.

Over the duration of the extended contract, TDSI will use ClearForce technologies and analytics to proactively monitor people-based risk. Together, ClearForce and TDSI are committed to keeping employees safe and data secure.

As a subsidiary of Thales, TDSI operates in accordance with a Proxy Agreement approved by the U.S. Department of Defense to mitigate concerns associated with Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI).
